Who Am I?
Hi I’m Ingus, and that’s me with my daughter. When I’m not taking pictures, I love spending time with my wife and daughter. This dad blogger world is new to me, but I soon realized that this was the most productive way of keeping track of life – as well as keeping me sane as a new dad.
I initially started this blog to track my wife’s journey through pregnancy, but since the birth of our daughter, I learned that there’s so much more to talk about and do as a dad, and dad blogger. (I’ve even been recognized as one of the top Dad Bloggers of 2016, 2017, and 2018; as well as been featured on MovingBabies.)
What Type of Dad Blog is This?
Truthfully, I don’t know what theme this blog has. Prior to having a kid, I was mostly a photographer blogger, but I also have interests in all other areas like technology, food, health, and even some dad fashion. But above all else, I’ll try to make everything that I post here genuine to me as a dad.
What is Dad Mode: On?
The phrase “Dad Mode On” is a phrase that slowly became my mindset ever since I found out I was going to be a father. It’s a phrase that is akin to turning on “God-Mode” in a videogame where you the player are unstoppable and cannot be harmed from the regular rules of the game.
I think adapting this term in becoming a Dad is very fitting as I believe in order to become a decent Dad, you really need to turn on a switch to ensure you are the best that you can be. So my mindset is to strive to reach an exceptional level of parenting and ensure that Dad Mode is turned “ON.”
I will most likely fail, but hey, at least if I aim high enough, getting close can’t be too bad. Right?
This website is dedicated to my wife, who is my inspiration and reason for everything. She has always pushed me and supported me in my numerous of ideas and projects. But for this Dad Mode On website, my confidence in writing and sharing my ongoing experiences is simply my way of supporting her throughout her journey into Motherhood.
